Recovery takes community — and there's a place for you here
Peer support fosters trust, understanding, and connection—offering encouragement from someone who truly gets it. Whether it’s a listening ear, help navigating resources, or simply a reminder that you’re not alone, our peer mentors are here to support you.
At Fraser Valley Addictions & Recovery Hub, we believe that healing is most powerful when it’s shared. Our Peer Support Program connects individuals in recovery with trained peers who have walked a similar path. These relationships offer understanding, encouragement, and real-life insight that only lived experience can bring.
Our peer supporters are compassionate, non-judgmental, and here to walk alongside others through the ups and downs of recovery. Whether it’s providing emotional support, guidance navigating services, or simply being someone to talk to, peers help build trust and community.
What Peer Support Offer:
- Non-judgmental, compassionate guidance
- Motivation through shared experience
- Support during appointments, group sessions, or daily life challenges
- A bridge to other recovery services like transitional housing, treatment, and food programs
- Encouragement during tough days and celebration of milestones
Our peer supporters are trained and supported by our team, and many started right here—rebuilding their lives with the help of the very programs they now serve in.
