Nourishing Lives, One Meal at a Time

At Fraser Valley Addictions & Recovery Hub, food is more than a necessity—it’s part of healing. Our Food Program supports individuals in our transitional housing and outpatient treatment programs by offering weekly access to fresh, nutritious food at no cost.

Every Saturday, our team picks up donated food from designated partner stores. With the help of dedicated volunteers, we sort and organize the food so each housing client can select their own groceries—choosing what they need for the week ahead. This approach promotes autonomy, dignity, and personal responsibility—important elements in recovery.

For our clinic clients who check in daily, warm meals are also provided when possible, thanks to the generosity of volunteers and community donors.

What We Offer:

  • Weekly Grocery Support – Housing clients choose their own items each Saturday from a variety of fresh and rescued foods
  • Warm Meals – Served to clinic clients throughout the week with support from Saturday meal prep volunteers
  • Tailored Food Options – Considerations made for dietary needs, allergies, and health conditions like diabetes
  • Food Recovery Partnerships – In collaboration with FoodMesh, Immigrant Link Centre Society, and local businesses

Our food program also helps reduce waste, nourish bodies, and support overall wellness—building routine, confidence, and stability for individuals on the path to healing.

At Capacity – Food Program Sign-Up Currently Closed

Due to high demand, we are currently at capacity and unable to accept new food program recipients at this time. We are actively working to expand our reach by raising funds for a refrigerated food truck that will allow us to safely store and deliver more food to more people.

Help Us Grow the Program

We need your help to make this possible.

Currently we are trying to raise $65,000 for a refrigerated truck to support our volunteer-run food program. This vehicle will help us safely transport perishable food items, reduce waste, and expand our reach to feed vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
